Jamshedpur, Feb 22: To mark the 120th Rotary Foundation Day, all Rotary Clubs of Jamshedpur and Chaibasa will jointly organize a car-bike rally on Sunday, February 23. The rally will be flagged off from Beldih Club by Bihar-Jharkhand Rotary District 3250 Governor Bipin Chachan, who will lead the event along with his spouse Shilpi Chachan.
The rally will begin and end at Beldih Club, covering key locations across the city. Participating Rotary Club members will display themes and objectives reflecting Rotary’s mission of community service and humanitarian work, informed Shweta Chand, Regional Director, Rotary.
Addressing a press conference at a hotel in Sakchi on Saturday, Bipin Chachan highlighted the significance of February 23, 1905, when visionary attorney Paul Harris established the Rotary Club in Chicago to promote social welfare, world peace, and harmony.
In addition to the rally, a district seminar on Tuberculosis (TB) awareness will be held at Alcor Hotel on February 23. Dr. Tamal Deb, Chairman of TB Mission, stated that the seminar aims to educate Rotarians about TB eradication. The trained members will further spread awareness at the grassroots level about TB prevention and its health risks.
Several prominent Rotarians, including Vijay Mehta and Anna Dutta, President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Green, were present at the press meet.
The rally and seminar underline Rotary’s ongoing commitment to public welfare and disease prevention, encouraging active community participation.
