Jamshedpur, March 22: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West hosted the Assistant District Governors Training Seminar and District Team Training Seminar at a hotel on NH-33, Jamshedpur.
At the three day residential seminar frontline leaders of Rotary District 3250 from Bihar and Jharkhand were imparted training.
President of host Rotary Club Anjani Nidhi and chairman Rajiv Talwar informed that the training seminar, named “Mantrana- Dil Se” was curated by the incoming District Governor Pratim Banerjee, who will be heading District 3250 of Rotary International for the year 2021-22.
The seminar was inaugurated by District Governor Rajan Gandotra, who emphasized on the role of Rotarians in supporting Rotary Foundation to do its project worldwide.
Assistant District Governor Rotarian Amitava Bakshi, Rotarian Doctor Amit Mukherjee, Past District Governors including Rotarian Sanjay Khemka, Rotarian Ronald D’Costa, Rotarian Vijay Mehta, Rotarian doctor R. Bharat and also District Governor Nominee Rotarian Sanjeev Thakur and Head of Rotary India digital platform Rotarian Narendrer Rao conducted different training sessions educating Rotarians about the Role and Roadmap for the forthcoming rotary year under the leadership of incoming District Governor Rotarian Pratim, who is considered to be one of the most knowledgeable, innovative and dynamic Rotary leaders today.
Born in Germany and studied in best schools and college in India and abroad, Rotarian Pratim started his rotary year in the year 2006 and thereafter he made hundreds of footprints through achievements in Rotary. Spouse Rotarian Suchanda herself has been a source of inspiration to her club and has been helping District 3250 in mission of Women’s empowerment in Rotary.
District Trainer and Past District Governor Rotarian Vivek kumar capsulised the areas of strength of Rotary and enticed Rotary Leaders to get focused on their assigned roles under the able leadership of Rotarian Pratim Banerjee.
Incoming District Governor Rotarian Pratim Banerjee is very well know personality in Rotary world and have been part of the several national and international initiatives, conferences and conventions. Understanding the need to bring, what Rotary does, closer to heart of Rotarians, he has given a tagline called “Dil Se” for all the program in forthcoming Rotary year. Not to forget that he has given the slogan “ !.2 million Trees : One tree for each Rotarian of the World” – under the unique mass plantation project , called “Vasundhara” under the newly added 7th area of service by Rotary International.
Kunal Sarangi, an Ex MLA- Jharkhand Vidhan Sabha deliberated on impact of leadership in the concluding session and very well explained the difference between Leaders and leadership.
The event was garnished by entertainment program by Rotarian Alpa Parikh and her team, Rotarian Rajender Sachdeva, Rotarian Satnam Kapula and Rotarian Abhijit Mitra who mesmerised the crowd.
The District Secretary of the year 2021-22 Rotarian Alakananda Bakshi thanked all the speakers for showing participants a path to make the forthcoming Rotary year successful. The Club Secretary Rotarian Alpana Shukla, Rotarian Bipin Srivastava, Rotarian Ajay Gandhi, Assistant Governor Amitava Bakshi, Rotarian Gurupreet Bhatia, Rotarian Naina Kumar, Rotarian Sapna Talwar, Rotarian Anupma Sehgal, Rotarian Sanjeev Sehgal, Rotarian Rajnish Talwar, the Incoming President Rotarian Rajesh Kumar, Rotarian Kamlendu Shukla, Rotarian Achinto Banerjee, Rotarian Aklavya Rajan, Payal Rajan and the members of Rotary Jamshedpur West and Rotractors were appreciated by all the leaders for working very very meticulously for making the event a memorable one.
