Jamshedpur: Every year, there is a change of guard in the Rotary as well as the Interact and Rotaract clubs in the month of July. Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West organised a joint installation meeting for all the Interact and Rotaract clubs under Jamshedpur West on 25th July, at Motilal Nehru Public School auditorium.
The Interact clubs of Baridih High School, Church School Beldih, DBMS Career Academy, Kasidih High School, Kerela Samajam Model School, Motilal Nehru Public School, Narbheram Hansraj English School and Xaviers School as well as the Rotaract clubs of Karim City College, Jain College, Xaviers Institute of Technical Education work under the guidance of Rotary club of Jamshedpur West.
This Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West added a new community based club, Rotaract Club of Tatanagar to the mentorship. All these clubs have been doing exemplary work for the not so fortunate ones of the society in the past and will continue to do so.
The club presidents introduced their respective board members and informed the parent club about their plans of taking up various projects during the Rotary year 2018-19. Ashu Tiwari, Principal, MNPS graced the occasion as the chief guest.
AG Supti Kannaujia and AG Alokananda Bakshi were also present to convey their good wishes to the incoming teams. President of RCJW, Dr Rita Jha gave the welcome address. Moderators of the schools and colleges accompanied their respective teams. RCJW members were also present to cheer up the incoming teams.
On the occasion Dr Rita Jha, said, Rotary is an organisation that provides a forum for the development and maintenance of high ethical standards. The Rotaract and Interact clubs are associated with Rotary to bring out the compassion and a sense of responsibility towards society among children at college and school levels respectively.
