Jamshedpur, July 11: On the occasion of World Population Day, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West organized a talk on general health and hygiene; ways to protect oneself from monsoon-related ailments and importance of family planning for the benefit of future generations and for oneself at Sonari Deeksha centre on Monday.
Rotary spouse Varsha Gandhi spoke on how small family can lead to good education for children, better living, better health care and better lifestyle. It also helps to keep mothers healthy for future. She also encouraged young mothers and their guardians to talk to doctors and adopt means of family planning.
Members also spoke about NGOs like FPAI that felicitate vasectomy and tubectomy in safe atmosphere, which is also supported by the government. More than 20 ladies benefited from the program.
President of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West Alakananda Bakshi, secretary Shweta Chand, Harshad Gandhi, Babita Kedia and speaker Varsha Gandhi were present on the occasion. Rotaractors Rinku and Harsh along with RCC members Vaarun, Mandal and others attended the function and made it successful.
