Rotary Jamshedpur organises Masti ki Pathshala for DBMS Lilliput students

Jamshedpur, Sep 25: September is observed as Rotary International’s Basic Education and Literacy Month. Keeping this in mind, Literacy Committee of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur organised a session on child development “Masti ki Pathshala” for school students.

Creative Writing skills session “Khel khel mein Pathan Paathan” was also organised for the teachers of DBMS project School – Lilliput School under the guidance of club president Madhumita Santra, Literacy Chairperson B Chandrashekhar and Rajni Shekhar on 23 and 24 September.

Fun-filled and interactive session on both the days stressed on confidence building.

Interactors of DBMS English School gave tips to solve Maths through quicker technique.

The event saw active participation of students and teachers of Lilliput School.

Kits containing books, stationeries and sweets were distributed to the students of the Project School.

A club member said, Rotary’s goal is to empower communities to support basic education and Literacy, reduce gender disparity in education and increase adult literacy.

Harpreet Marwah, Manju Singh and Jagannath Santra were present on the occasion.  

Resource persons B. Chandrashekhar, Rajani Shekhar, teacher Gurpreet Kaur and Indira Kumar organised the sessions.
