Jamshedpur, Oct 7: Rotarians of Rotary of Clubs of Jamshedpur East, Midtown, Steel City, Dalma and Femina on Sunday thought of gifting nothing less than �life� to those who are at the risk of losing it for precious blood which can only be supplemented by humans.
This is also part of the Rotary District 3250 initiative to support the �Ayushman Bharat� programme of central Government.
On 7th October, they jointly organised a blood donation camp with active participation of Rotarians, Rotary spouses, Loyola Alumni Association, Rotaractors, well-wishers and citizens of Jamshedpur at Jamshedpur Blood bank.
Everyday precious blood is required to save innumerable lives suffering from diseases, accidents, surgery and illness like blood cancer, thalassemia etc. Blood is not be found in any pharmaceutical store or any grocery shop, it can only be found in humans and only a person can save one�s life, said Alakananda Bakshi, Assistant Governor of zone 11.
In the camp 43 units of blood was collected. Piyush Jain, Hitesh Adesara and Chetan Kumar were Rotarians who were qualified as donors and donated blood. Monalisa Das was lone lady donor. Members of Loyola Alunmi Association, Young Rotaractors from DBMS B ED College and Kalimati Rotaract Club members also donated blood and volunteered the event.
Presidents, Secretaries, Assistant Governors, Regional Secretary and members of Rotary Clubs Jamshedpur East, Midtown, Steel City, Dalma and Femina including Vijay Tulsiyan, Aloke Raisurana, Piyush Jain, HetalAdesara, Murali Monahar, Megha Tulsiyan, Shashi Gadia, Alakananda Bakshi, Supti Kanaujia, Alka Garg, Rachel, Mrs Raisurana, Damini, Ravina, Dr Jahar, Chaitali, Gadia other members volunteered the event.
