Jamshedpur, September 13: On the occasion of International Literacy Day, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina felicitated 8 Govt School teachers from 7 schools with Nation Builder Award.
They were chosen after doing survey amongst more than 35 teachers of various Government schools in and around Jamshedpur. Feedback was taken from Students as well as from Principals following guidelines given by Rotary India Literacy Mission. It was a scientific process and schools happily accepted the proposal.
Renowned Katy Gabba was Chief Guest on the occasion during a function held at a city hotel on Tuesday. President Pritha Dutta welcomed all and explained the mission of Rotary to make India Literate and congratulated all award winning Teachers.
The teachers who were felicitated include-Prabhat Kumar-Jamshedpur High school, Reeta Singh— Sakchi High School, Utkramit Middle School, Mita Dey -principal ,Gopesh Thakur,Sonali Mahato,Sidhu Kanu Siksha Niketan, Abdul Hakim- Rashtra Pita Gandhi Middle School, N.K.Singh-Kuluptanga Middle School,Ankita Kumari- S.N.High School. All were awarded with Nation Builder Certificate and a small token of appreciation.
Rotary India’s aim is to eradicate illiteracy from India and to achieve this aim, all Clubs follow the guidelines given by Rotary India Literacy Mission and try to provide better educational opportunities at grass root level through making “Happy Schools”.
President Pritha Dutta, club Secretary Babita, IPP Pasam, shashi, Neha, Rashmi, Simran, manisha, shweta, lalitha, meena and many other members of the club were also present on the occasion.
Assistant Governor Kety lauded the effort taken up by Rotary Femina to boost the morale of teachers and for helping the torch to carry forward.
PP Katy Gabba congratulated all the award winning teachers and explained in detail how a teacher can change many lives and become a nation builder.
Teacher can make or break lives and only a teacher can produce Nation Builders.
All over India, same banner was used to felicitate teachers and same designed certificates were given to teachers.
