Jamshedpur, August 17: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina members celebrated Rakhi with ‘Jeevika’ at Sonari. Jeevika is a centre of people who are intellectually impaired.
It is run by Avtar Singh. Members tied Rakhi to them and distributed nutritious food packets. The students of Jeevika also sang songs remembering their sisters.
More than 25 patients were benefitted. In the evening members tied Rakhi to the students at Shiksha in Ashiana Gardens. A story telling session on the topic of brotherhood was also organised.
They had made the Rakhi themselves and they also use it for selling to earn some money. The raw materials are provided by femina club members. Sweets was distributed to the students.
The winners were given certificate and prizes.
