Jamshedpur, August 17: Rakhi making competition was held in the Primary Wing of Govind Vidyalaya under the guidance of Swapna Shome on Wednesday, August 17. Students were guided by teachers Varsha, Manisha and Sabita.
Children made and tied Rakhis around trees to express their love and affection to the plant kingdom. In return they hoped for a cleaner and better environment.
Children are taught to treat the trees like their brothers. As the girls tie Rakhi to their brothers expecting love, care affection, safety and sincerity throughout the life, the same way the students are taught to treat the trees as their brothers and tie them Rakhis so that they can help them fight global warming and also to live long without any diseases.
Students also took a pledge to nurture and conserve the trees.
