Rotary Club to plant 2 lakh saplings in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Aug 19:  Rotary Club of Jamshedpur celebrated Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav and as part of Project Chayya distributed big sized umbrellas among local street vendors.

President Satnam Kapula and Secretary M L Chawla distributed umbrellas to two vendors in Bistupur area and seven in Kadma Market.

The club plans to distribute 100 such umbrellas in city by year end. Project Chayya shall enhance the Rotary Public image, in and around Jamshedpur creating bigger impact, said President.

Rotary Club of Jamshedpur started second project Hariyali. Under the initiative club environment committee Capt Anil Kumar Pandey and Ram Sewak Dubey along with President Satnam Kapula, Secretary ML Chawla and PP Sangeeta Jha planted 100 fruit bearing saplings in Gamharia. The clubs plans to plant around 2 lakh saplings in and around Jamshedpur and in village areas.

President informed that Project Hariyali shall be carried out every Sunday.

Club thanked Rotaractors of Arka Jain University led by the President Adarsh Kumar and Gajendra Kumar for their support and help.
