Rotary Club Jamshedpur West plants 500 saplings

Jamshedpur, June 7: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur has launched a 15-day tree plantation drive in the city. Clubs will be rewarded and recognised based on mobilizing members’ participation based on the total number of plantations from June 5 to June 20 as part of the World Environment Day celebration.

As part of the Vasundhara Project and Rotary Forest Trail, around 500 plants were planted individually on the occasion of World Environment Day by Rotarians, Rotaractors and students from various Interact clubs

On the World Environment Day, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West under the guidance of president Anjani Nidhi and in association with Tata Steel have planted more than one lakh trees alone in the year gone by.

Following clubs were involved along with parent club Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West Rotaract Club of Tatanagar, Rotaract Club of Karim City College, Rotaract Club of Education Department, KCC , Interact Club of DBMS Career Academy, Interact Club of Xavier School Gamharia, Interact Club of Kasidih High School, Interact Club of Beldih School, Interact Club of KSMS, Interact Club of MNPS, Interact Club of Narbheram Hansraj School and Interact Club of Baridih High School.
