Jamshedpur, July 30: Tata Steel Sports Department organised an Inter Training Centre Handball Tournament to commemorate 121st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of ten boys’ teams and eight girls’ teams.
In Boys, Roll Ball Training Centre emerged Winners while Volleyball Training Centre clinched Runners up trophy. In Girls Basketball Training Centre emerged Winners while Volleyball Training Centre cadets clinched Runners up position.
While today witnessed various vibrant activities, the festivities will continue with a Senior Citizen Carrom Competition scheduled for tomorrow. The event is designed to foster camaraderie and active participation among senior members of the community reflecting JRD Tata’s vision of a healthy, connected society.
As part of the celebrations marking the birth anniversary of JRD Tata, a series of engaging community events are being organised to honour his legacy of inclusive growth and people-centric values.
