Road with missing links baffling Azadnagar residents

Jamshedpur: The residents of Road Number 9 in Jawaharnagar, Mango, are a harassed lot these days and so are commuters passing through the main road in the locality.

The reason is the deplorable condition of the main road which is literally a patch of concrete ridden with big potholes and non-existing roads.

The main road, which was being built into a PCC road, is incomplete till date. Ironically, the road was not constructed continuously.

The contractor left a gap on the road and started building the road ahead without building the road to bridge the gap first. This has surprised and disappointed the residents who alleged that such a work could not have been overlooked by the authorities concerned without receiving favours in cash or kind.

A local resident, Raju, alleged that the district administration authorities concerned did not take action against the contractor despite repeated complaints.

Many district administration authorities ply through the road, but no action has been taken by them as yet to get the road constructed as per government norms.
