Jamshedpur: Using mobile phone while driving may prove fatal. Drivers should drive carefully with safety in their mind. Using safety devices is a must while driving. This was observed by AK Srivastava, industrialist and the former president of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry during a road and industrial safety awareness programme held at Telco Food plaza on the occasion of Republic Day. The event was organized by Gold Line Logistics, Jamshedpur.
Present as the chief guest, Srivastava advised drivers to keep their families in mind while driving. He said a training centre would also be opened for drivers to teach them safe driving skills.
Many dignitaries were present during the programme. They included RK Das of Tata Motors, Mahesh Sharan of TTCA, SK Mishra, T Murali, former DSP traffic Rakesh Mohan Sinha and commander Raman Kumar. Some of the guests advised the truck drivers not to take opium while driving.
