Giridih: In a heartbreaking incident, a Swift Dezire car lost control and collided with a tree near the Madhuban turn of Dumri main road in Giridih district, resulting in the tragic death of two women and leaving three others seriously injured. The victims were part of a family from Alkapuri in Giridih, who had come to attend a wedding procession in the area.
The deceased have been identified as Shobha Chatterjee from Patna and Reva Chatterjee from Ahmedabad. The injured individuals include Ashish Chatterjee, Doli Chatterjee, and Tani Chatterjee. The family had been in Giridih to participate in the wedding festivities and was returning when the unfortunate accident occurred.
The incident unfolded near the Madhuban turn, and the impact claimed the lives of Shobha and Reva on the spot. The injured family members were rushed to Sadar Hospital for immediate medical attention. Ashish Chatterjee, Doli Chatterjee, and Tani Chatterjee are currently undergoing treatment, and their condition is reported to be serious.
Upon receiving information about the accident, Giridih Deputy Commissioner Naman Priyesh Lakra, City Police Station in-charge RN Chaudhary, and several other officials promptly reached Sadar Hospital.
