Gumla: In a heartbreaking incident near Tikha Mor in Solga village, Palkot police station, two young lives were lost in a road accident on Tuesday evening. Vivek Kerketta (22), a resident of Redwa, tragically succumbed on the spot, while Naveen Billung (22) from Revda village of Tapkara Panchayat, who was riding the bike, sustained injuries.
Upon receiving information about the accident, the police promptly reached the scene, taking Vivek Kerketta’s body into custody and transporting it to the police station. The injured Naveen Billung was rushed to CHC Palkot for immediate medical attention. However, after receiving initial aid, he was referred to Sadar Hospital Gumla for more extensive treatment.
Sadly, Naveen Billung’s condition deteriorated during transportation to Sadar Hospital, and he was declared dead by Dr. Sunil Kisku. On Wednesday morning, SI Prem Sagar Singh visited Sadar Hospital, conducted the necessary procedures, including Panchnama and post-mortem, and handed over the deceased to the grieving family members
