RJD leader seeks ban on liquor in Jharkhand

Jamshedpur: State president of the womens cell of Rashtriya Janata Dal Poonam Jha today said that ban on liquor was important for the progress of Jharkhand.

She said the state government should implement strict measures to ban liquor in Jharkhand on the lines of the liquor ban decision taken by Bihar government. She said people often committed major crimes under the influence of alcohol. In Bihar, the crime graph had shown a decline due to ban on liquor, she said.

Speaking at Subarnarekha Guesthouse, the RJD leader said the party would be felicitating women by giving them important posts in the organization.

Criticising the state government, she said the government had no vision for development. She said the main road from Tata to Kandra was a sample to showcase the governments failure. She further said that proper drainage of water was missing at various places.
