Jamshedpur, Sept. 11: In its relentless endeavor and initiatives to increase the green cover of Jamshedpur, JUSCO, today opened River View Park at Marine Drive near Kadma.
Spread over 6,000 sq metres River View Park was inaugurated by Tarun Daga, Managing Director, JUSCO along with R K Pradhan and A D Baijal of the Vijaya Heritage Resident Welfare Association on 11th September.
The program began with a tree plantation at the corner of the Park which is figurative to help make the surrounding, the park and the neighboring areas, clean, green and pollution free.
In a small ceremony, a symbolic key was handed over by Tarun Daga, MD JUSCO to the managing committee of the Vijaya Heritage Resident Welfare Association. In his address, Daga said, “A green, clean and pollution free, Jamshedpur is the collective responsibility of all citizens and not only of JUSCO and Tata Steel.
JUSCO makes efforts to provide facilities but it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect and maintain it. So, as we hand over the River View Park to the citizens, we hope that you will maintain it well.”
The park houses 2 rockery (an arrangement of rocks and alpine plants), 24 creative flower beds, 460 Shrubs and 94 trees. It also has a lawn spread over 3600 sq metres which includes 7 benches.
Pradhan and Baijal thanked Team JUSCO for their hard work and efforts in giving them River View Park.
The inauguration was attended by enthusiastic residents of Vijaya Heritage who were very happy and were there in large numbers.
