Jamshedpur, June 28: There has been mud slinging between the ruling and the rival faction of Tata Workers Union (TWU) after announcement of sub-committees of the union which would work in tandem with the Tata Steel management on workers interest.Â
The rival factions is accusing of casteism and ignoring qualified and experience persons during constitution of the committee.Â
The rival factions has raised question over non-inclusion of former deputy president, Arbind Pandey, former vice-president R. C Jha, former assistant secretary Kamlesh Singh and R K Singh in the subcommittees despite all of them having years of experience in the trade union and dealing with labour issues.Â
R. C Jha who has been elected from coke plant since 1997 has alleged that only those persons have been included in the sub-committees who are close to the ruling executive committee members and belong to their same caste. He also said that they would continue to raise voice for the interest of the workers.
