Ritika Mukhi joins BJP with hundreds of supporters in Telco

Jamshedpur: Former Congress leader Ritika Mukhi joined the BJP in a function at Hill Top School Durga Puja ground in Telco on Friday. She was accompanied by over 500 supporters who quit Congress to become BJP workers.

Potka MLA Menka Sardar and Jamshedpur Mahanagar BJP president Dinesh Kumar were present along with many other senior party leaders. The new entrants were garlanded by the MLA and other leaders and given party�s emblem.

Addressing the gathering, the Potka MLA said women were a marginalized lot in the Congress while in the BJP, the situation was reverse. The BJP believes in empowering and respective women, she said.

The BJP president assailed the Congress for spreading rumours and leveling baseless allegations over the Rafale deal. He said the Supreme Court had rejected the pleas seeking a court-led probe into corruption charges against the Central government.

Addressing the gathering, Ritika Mukhi said she was deeply influenced by the work culture of the Central and state governments. She said she was inspired by the Antyodaya doctrine of the BJP which led her to join the party. She further said that the baseless allegations leveled against PM Modi by the Congress national president Rahul Gandhi were baseless and unfortunate.

Among those present during the membership programme included Bharat Singh, Mithilesh Singh Yadav, Pawan Agrawal, Chandrashekhar Mishra, Haldhar Narayan Shah, Ankit Anand, Vimalkant Jha, Amarjeet Singh Raja and Neeru Singh.
