Jamshedpur, May 14: Residents of the Sitaramdera area in Jamshedpur have raised objections to the construction of a new Labor Commissioner office on the well-grounded premises. In a bid to voice their dissent, residents of the colony submitted a demand letter to the Deputy Commissioner today, expressing concerns over the potential loss of the only large ground available in the locality.

The demand letter highlighted the significance of the ground, which serves as a venue for various community events such as weddings, cultural programs, and children’s sports activities. With the proposed construction of the Labor Commissioner office, residents fear the loss of this essential space, depriving them of opportunities to engage in recreational and cultural activities.

Urging the Deputy Commissioner to intervene, residents called for the cessation of construction activities and advocated for the allocation of an alternate site for the office building. They emphasized the importance of preserving communal spaces for the well-being and social cohesion of the local community.
