Republic Day celebrations held in great fanfare at Seraikela

Seraikela: Seraikela District administration held a colorful programme on the occasion of Republic Day at local Birsa Munda Stadium.

The events held in great fanfare in the presence of school children, invitees, people at large and senior administrative officials.

After unfurling of National Flag colorful tableaux were taken out by different organizations. Arvind Children Garden won the first prize by showcasing an attractive tableau while Bal Vikas School was adjudged second winner of the tableau contest. Deputy commissioner of Seraikela, Chandra Sekhar, DDC, Reymond Karketta, and SP, Durga Oraon gave away prizes to the winning teams.

On the occasion the DC, Chandra Sekhar counted the achievements made by the district administration in the fields of PM Jan Dhan Yojna, recruitments of teachers, road construction, Indira Awas Yojna, and electrification in villages.

A cricket tournament was organized later in the day in which Balak Madhya Vidyala and Bal Vikas School were adjudged winner and the runners-up.

A cultural programme was also held on the occasion. District chief sessions judge, Md. Kasim hoisted the tri-color at the sessions court while Sanjay Kumar Singh, executive engineer of Road Construction department hoisted the tri-color on the premises of the department.
