Jamshedpur, May 11: In all 14 out of 27 ultrasound operators in the district got a big relief from the High Court on Thursday. While hearing the review petition of the operators, the court asked 10 operators, except four operators, to apply again before the appropriate authority for license renewal.
Giving information regarding the order of the High Court, Dr. Saurabh Chaudhary, secretary of the Indian Medical Association, said that four ultrasound operators of the city
The certificate of operation of the center was issued to them from the level of the District Magistrate. Those who were again ordered to continue operating their center.
At the same time, 10 operators were asked to submit a new application to get the certificate again under the PC&PNDT Act.
Dr. Chaudhary told that the district administration has been informed about the order of the High Court. The district administration assured cooperation in this matter.
It may be noted that the Jharkhand High Court had banned the operation of 27 ultrasound centers in the district due to non-issuance of license from the proper authority. After which there was panic among the center operators.
