Jamshedpur: On the sacred martyrdom day of the four Sahibzadas, revered for their immortal sacrifice in Sikh history, a grand Nagar Kirtan was taken out from the Gurdwara Sahib in the Refugee Colony area. Led by the Panj Pyaras, the religious procession paid heartfelt tributes to the unparalleled martyrdom of Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh, and Baba Fateh Singh.

Devotees bowed before the Guru Granth Sahib and participated in the singing of Gurbani, creating a deeply devotional atmosphere across the area. The entire Refugee Colony resonated with spiritual fervour as chants of “Jo Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akal” echoed throughout the route. A large gathering of Sikh devotees added grandeur and solemnity to the occasion.

Children between four and ten years of age enthusiastically took part in the procession, reflecting the spirit of passing Sikh values and history to the younger generation.

Throughout the route, devotees welcomed the Nagar Kirtan with showers of flowers and acts of seva. School principal Arunajay Singh, along with Gurcharan Singh, Manjit Singh, Trilochan Singh, Harjit Gambhir, Sharanpal Singh, and members of the Stree Satsang Sabha and Sikh Naujawan Sabha, participated in large numbers, contributing to the successful and dignified conduct of the programme.
