Jamshedpur, June 8: Indian Red Cross Society, East Singhbhum Chapter, organized blood donation camp at Red Cross Bhawan, Sakchi on Wednesday. Total of 51 units of blood was collected during the camp.
Bearing in mind the scarcity of some rare groups of blood, Jamshedpur Blood Bank has sounded out the Red Cross Society to organize blood donation camps regularly, and taking up their call the East Singhbhum Chapter of the Society has lined up many camps solely and also with some associations which will be held in June and July 2022. After this monthly blood donation camp, the Red Cross Society will also organize a mega blood donation camp to commemorate the World Blood Donors Day on 14th June 2022 which will also be held at Red Cross Bhawan.
On the occasion, Rakesh Mishra, Deepak Mitra, Shanta Adhikari, Saraswati Sarkar and Shyam Kumar from the Red Cross Society were present and assisted in successfully organizing the camp, while doctors and technical staff from the Jamshedpur Blood Bank helped in collection of blood.
