Jamshedpur, July 20: Red Cross Society’s ‘eradication of blindness’ campaign concluded successfully on Monday.
The 397th eye camp that saw surgery level treatment of patients for free ended as the patients were released from the hospital.
Renowned opthalmologist Dr. J.S.Bedi performed a final check-up on the patients & also gave tips to take proper care of their eyes.
The closing ceremony was attended by officials of Tata Pigments Prakash Sarode, V.S.N.Murthy and V.Natrajan. They handed over post-surgery glasses and biscuit packets to the patients.
Red Cross Secretary, Vijay Kumar Singh informed about the next eye camp that is to be held at Ram Manohar Lohiya eye hospital in Baghbera from July 25 to 27.
The camp will be organized by O.P.Gupta, a well known social worker & businessman.
