Recruitment Alert: South Eastern Railway invites applications for 1785 apprentice positions

Kolkata: South Eastern Railway has announced a recruitment drive for apprentices, aiming to fill 1785 positions. Interested candidates can apply by submitting their applications, and the notification specifies separate slots for various divisions and workshops.
The distribution of vacancies is as follows:
Kharagpur Workshop: 360 positions
Kharagpur: 612 positions
Chakradharpur: 413 positions
Adra: 213 positions
Ranchi Division: 80 positions
Sini Workshop: 107 positions
The recruitment drive also categorizes vacancies based on trades and communities. Candidates can access detailed information and apply online. Eligibility criteria for apprentice positions include a minimum of 50% marks in 10th class, diploma, or its equivalent. Additionally, applicants should possess an ITI pass in the relevant trade for the post applied.
Candidates applying for these apprentice positions should be between 15 to 24 years of age. However, relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided to candidates belonging to OBC, EWS, SC, ST, and other reserved categories, as per government rules.
The available positions cover a range of trades such as Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Welder, Mechanic (Diesel), Machinist, Painter, Refrigerator and AC Mechanic, among others. The application deadline is set for 28th December, with the application window opening on 29th November. Aspiring candidates are encouraged to submit their applications promptly, ensuring all required documents are included.
