Record 1025 fresh COVID cases, 911 recoveries, 25 deaths in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: In a record jump amidst rising cases of Covid, a total of 1025 fresh cases reported on Saturday. For the first time during the second COVID-19 wave in Jamshedpur, record cases have been reported. City reported 25 deaths on Saturday while 911 people recovered of the virus.

District’s positive cases tally has mounted to 41827. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department 25 fatalities were due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours, The death toll has climbed to 819. The total active cases are 6772.

COVID vaccination drive in Dhatkidih

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 299823 test per million in the district.The Telco locality of Steel City has turned out to be a Covid hotspot with the district health department detecting over 149 positive cases during the last 24 hours. Kadma also reported 124 positive in a single day. With the surge in cases as many as eight containment zones were declared in residential areas close to Kadma market.

As many as 25 deaths , the highest so far also took place in past 24 hours. Maximum number of Covid affected people were found in Kadma, Telco, Sonari, Mango and Bistupur.
