RD Tata Technical Education Centre Hosts 20th Alumni Meet

Jamshedpur: The RD Tata Technical Education Centre (RD TTEC) in Golmuri, Jamshedpur, successfully organized its 20th Alumni Meet on Monday, March 9, 2026. The event brought together former students, faculty, and staff to celebrate their shared heritage and strengthen professional bonds.

A Journey Back to Roots

The ceremony commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by Mr. Brij Kishore Singh (Lead Institute, Tata Steel Foundation), Chief Guest Mr. Amit Chaudhary, Principal Ms. Preeta John, and Alumni Committee President Ms. Neha Singh.

Chief Guest Amit Chaudhary, a General Manager at Renishaw and a member of the institute’s first batch (2003–2006), shared an emotional tribute to his alma mater. He credited the institution’s strict discipline and robust curriculum for shaping his successful career.

Supporting the Next Generation

Principal Preeta John highlighted the institute’s growth and expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the Tata Steel Foundation. She specifically noted a ₹1.2 lakh fee subsidy currently benefiting new students.

Alumni President Neha Singh presented the annual report, showcasing how the alumni network actively supports current students. Key contributions include:

  • Financial Aid: Alumni provide monetary support for the fees of economically disadvantaged students.

  • Mentorship: Experienced professionals returned to share career guidance and industry insights with current trainees.

  • Collaborative Sessions: Interactive dialogues focused on future partnerships to benefit the student body.

The evening concluded with vibrant cultural performances by students and staff, followed by a celebratory dinner, where alumni pledged to continue contributing to the institute’s excellence.
