Razor attack on fowl dealer for ransom refusal

Jamshedpur, Dec 11: Fowl dealer at Birsanagar Zone # 6, Prakash Mishra was attacked with a razor for not complying to the dictate of antisocial Lakshman Nag on Friday. Lakshman Nag, reportedly a local goon reportedly ask for ransom in the form of fowls which Mishra refused to give. First Nag used foul language, quarreled and then put a razor to Mishra’s neck threatening to give the ransom demanded. Seeing a crowd gathering around the place of incident, Lakshman Nag fled the spot. Some in the crowd gave chase to the ruffian but failed to catch him. The Birsanagar police arrived at the scene and took Prakash to MGMC Hospital for treatment of his deep wounds. Mishra told the police that Lakshman Nag regularly took away eight to 10 kilograms of fowls as ransom. He said that out of fear he parted with the fowls, sometimes with money and on occasions with both. Nag, Mishra told the police was a nuisance to the local shopkeepers who gave him whatever he demanded but did not complain to the police for fear of their lives. The police are on the hunt for the accused.
