Jamshedpur, July 6: Ravindra Kulkarni is all set to become the new head of Tata Motors Jamshedpur Plant, sources said.
Kulkarni is at present the Senior General Manager (Manufacturing Engineer) at Pune Division of Tata Motors (Commercial Vehicles). He did his B.E Mechanical from VIT Pune and started his career with Bharat Forge in 1990. He joined Tata Motors in 1994 and has been on various posts at Pune plant. The outgoing Head of Jamshedpur Plant, Vishal Badshah, has been promoted as VP Operations. He will join the Pune plant from 1st October, sources said.
Former plant heads of Jamshedpur SB Borwankar and AB Lall have been popular among the city people and the company employees. They played vital role in resolving issues inside the plant and providing better amenities to employees. Lall got an extension after retirement. He is going to retire finally on 30th September after 37 years of service, sources said.
