Jamshedpur, July 6: A thief was caught red-handed while trying to steal away a scooty near Road Number 13 at Old Purulia Road under Azadnagar police station area on Wednesday. A mob of local residents thrashed the accused and handed him over to police.
Police said the accused had broken the lock of a scooty and was about to escape with the vehicle when its owner saw him and raised an alarm.
