Jamshedpur, June 20: The city of Jamshedpur came alive with joy and devotion as the highly anticipated Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, accompanied by his elder brother Balabhadra and sister Maharani Subhadra, took place on Tuesday afternoon. The triumphant procession marked the complete recovery of the divine deities, as they embarked on a city tour amidst great fanfare and the resounding chant of “Jai Jagannath.”
ISKCON’s Rath Yatra served as the main attraction in Jamshedpur, commencing from Bistupur Ram Mandir. Additionally, several other locations witnessed the commencement of Rath Yatra processions, including Mango Bara Hanuman Temple, Bistupur Beldih Naga Temple, Khasmahal Jagannath Temple, Namda Basti Kali Temple, Jugsalai Rath Gali, Baradhari Gandhi Ashram, Sonari Geeta Bhavan, and Devasthan Temple Burmamains. The chariots carrying the divine deities departed from each of these places after 2:30 pm and converged at Mousibadi by 5 pm. The devotees eagerly awaited the arrival of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra, and expressed their reverence through melodious songs and exuberant dances. The deities made their appearance riding on separate chariots, captivating the hearts of the thousands of devotees who had gathered from Jamshedpur and the surrounding areas to participate in this auspicious event.
