Ratan Tata inspired the writing of ‘Karmaveer’ Biography: Dr MS Singh

Jamshedpur, October 10: Dr MS Singh, author of Karmaveer, a biography of Tata Group founder Jamshetji Tata, stated that Ratan Tata personally inspired him to write the book. While Dr Singh was working as a research scholar in Jamshedpur, the book’s publication was undertaken at the request of the Tata Workers Union under the guidance of then Tata Steel Managing Director Dr. JJ Irani.

When Ratan Tata was approached to write the foreword, he graciously agreed. During a subsequent visit to Jamshedpur, RBB Singh, the then Union President, arranged a meeting where Ratan Tata asked Dr Singh what inspired him to write the biography. Dr Singh said that the founder’s nationalist and public-spirited nature motivated him. Ratan Tata, in turn, encouraged Dr Singh and assured him of full support. Later, when the book was published, Dr Singh presented a copy to Ratan Tata, who was delighted and blessed him.

Gamharia, October 10: Trustee of the ASIA Entrepreneur Organization, Dashrath Upadhyay, expressed deep grief over the passing away of legendary industrialist Ratan Tata, calling it an irreparable loss for the country. Upadhyay described Tata as a ‘Kohinoor’ who left an enduring legacy. He noted that the entire nation was mourning the loss of such a great personality.
