Ranchi, May 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream project Vande Bharat train is going to start in Jharkhand as well.
Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat Express train will run from May 10. Railways has made preparations to run the Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat train with eight coaches via Hazaribagh. While the Ranchi-Patna Jan Shatabdi Express covers the distance in seven hours, the Railway Board is trying to make the Vande Bharat train cover the distance in six hours. Senior railway officials told that if there is no technical problem then it is ready to run from May 10.
The effort is that Howrah-Bhubaneswar and Ranchi-Patna Vande Bharat will start simultaneously. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off both the trains. Ranchi Rail Division has been asked to take stock of the preparations.
Ranchi DRM Pradeep Gupta told that the maintenance of Vande Bharat train will be done at Hatia yard, as the yard has been modified accordingly. This train will belong to Ranchi Rail Division. First of all it has to be run to Patna via Ranchi-BIT Mesra-Hazaribagh. This line is ready. No other train is currently running on this route.
