Ranchi, May 5: Yashaswini Sahay, the Congress candidate from Ranchi, will submit her nomination papers on Monday, May 6, representing the INDI Alliance. The nomination procession will be joined by workers and supporters of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and RJD, with flags and banners.
The procession will commence from E-39 Sector, the residence of former Union Minister Subodh Kant Sahay, at 7:30 am, traversing through various localities including Dhurwa, Sector 3, Birsa Chowk, and culminating at the Collectorate Building via Zakir Hussain Park. Sahay will file her nomination papers at the Collectorate Building.
Following this, a public meeting will be held at Morhabadi Maidan in Ranchi, where Chief Minister Champai Soren, RJD leader and Minister Satyanand Bhokta, and other alliance leaders are expected to attend.
The Lok Sabha elections in Ranchi are scheduled for the sixth phase on May 25, along with Giridih, Dhanbad, and Jamshedpur parliamentary seats. The nomination process for the sixth phase commenced on April 29 and will conclude on Monday, May 6. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be conducted on May 7, and candidates can withdraw their nominations until May 9.
The Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency comprises six Assembly constituencies including Ichagarh, Silli, Khijri, Ranchi, Hatia, and Kanke.
