Ranchi, June 11: As evening settled in at state Capital every road leading up to Firayalal Chowk remained chock-a-block with traffic on Thursday.
The pleasant evening weather forced the Ranchities to move out in the open after weeks of hot and humid conditions with temperature notching upto 45 degrees.
The Firayalal Chowk, one of the busiest locations of the capital saw huge traffic. The city saw massive traffic snarls in the evening between 5 pm and 9 pm in various markets.
Firayalal Chowk was jammed heavily due to the queuing vehicles that were constantly entering and exiting the market areas.
Though Traffic police had deployed police officers along with policemen riding on bikes, the traffic went berserk during the peak hours in market areas.
‘It is impossible to travel in cars nearby market areas, so I opted to walk to the market,’ said Bhavna Pandey, a BIT-Mesra student.
‘No one bothers about how and where they are parking their cars, thus creating a chaos,’ said Radhika Iyer, a homemaker.
