Ranchi, Oct 31: Former Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president Rameshwar Oraon has been appointed as the Chairman of the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Disciplinary Action Committee.
The announcement was made following the approval of Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, and the official communication was issued by AICC General Secretary (Organisation) K.C. Venugopal.
Along with Oraon, five other senior leaders have been inducted as members of the committee.
They include Ashok Choudhary, Manzoor Ahmad Ansari, Bhim Kumar, Manjula Hansda, and Abhilash Sahu.
The formation of the disciplinary committee marks an important step by the party to strengthen internal discipline and ensure adherence to organizational values within the state unit.
Oraon, a seasoned politician and former state finance minister, is known for his administrative acumen and long-standing service in both state and national politics.
His appointment is being viewed as a strategic move to bring organizational coherence and accountability ahead of the upcoming electoral challenges in Jharkhand.
