Chaibasa, April 5: A grand procession was taken out on the occasion of Ram Navami in Chaibasa on Wednesday.
Devotees in large numbers joined the procession along with tableau and musical orchestra party. Mahavir Jhanda were put up at post office chowk for public exhibition.
Rani Tola flag was recognized as the longest in length of one hundred meters whereas Kumhartoli was enlisted as tallest among all Mahvir flags. Around 48 Akhada samiti participated in the procession where youths displayed stunts and sword display which enthralled the spectators.
The district administration had made elaborate security arrangements with police forces and necessary logistic to deal with any untoward incident.
Volunteer from Nagar Parishad and Chamber of commerce distributed cold drinks among the people during the procession which concluded peacefully.
