Jamshedpur: An Inter Centre Married Women Cricket Tournament was organized by Urban Services, CSR, Tata Steel at Gopal Maidan, Bistupur on 30th & 31st January, 2019.
About 144 women, representing 12 teams from Sonari, Baridih, Kasidih, Namda, Bhalubasa, Dhatkidih, Kitadih, Adityapur, Tuiladungri, Bagbera, Sitaramdera & R.D. Bhatta Community Centres.
Ram Das Bhatta Community Centre was declared the winner of the tournament. Bhalubasa Community centre was the runner-up followed by Kitadih Community centre.
Women of the Series award went to Nisha of Ram Das Bhatta Community Centre. Women of the match was won by Anita Kerketta of Ram Das Bhatta Community Centre
Jiren Xavier Topno, Head, Tribal Culture, Urban Services, Tata Steel graced the closing ceremony as the Chief Guest and awarded the winning teams. Manju Mishra, Sr. Manager, Urban Services, Gurbari Hembram, Shalini Kujur, Abhisek Kashyap, Manager, Urban Services, Rukmani Purty, Y Pd. Mahato, All Area Officers, and staffs of Urban Services Department were present during the championship.
The tournament was ably organised and co-ordinated by the Sports Team of Urban Services under the able leadership of Ms. Gurbari Hembram supported by all the Area officers.
