Jamshedpur: Five goals including a hat-trick by Rajesh Murmu powered SS Plus2 High School, Chandil to a thumping 11-0 victory over Blue Bells English High School in the junior boys� league round of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports football tournament here on Thursday.
Continuing with the high scoring trend, Shyama Prasad Inter College routed Andhra Association English School 9-0 while Karim City Inter College trounced Kerala Samajam Model School 6-0 in the senior boys� league.
Rajesh was the stand out performer of the day. He started with a 16th minute strike and doubled it after 13 minutes at the Tinplate Sports Complex Stadium. The SS striker was in an unrelenting mood in the second session registering a triple (41st, 43rd and 52nd minutes), earning him the player of the match award.
However, it was Siddu Mardi who triggered the goal feast finding the net in the first minute itself. He went on to score another in the 36th minute while Amar Hembram too notched a double (54th and 58th minutes). Shivnath Singh Sardar (11th) and Lalu Tudu (27th minute) also got on to the score sheet with a goal each.
In the senior boys� league, Prem Murmu was the star for Shyama Prasad Inter College scoring four goals. Sukhlal Hembram (three goals) and Ram Chnadra Murmu (two goals) also played a crucial part in their big victory.
At the Armoury Ground, player of the match Danish Khan scored thrice to power Karim City�s win. Royal Mukhi, Sagen Hembram and Taufique Waris netted the other three goals for the winners.
Rajendra Vidyalay defeated DAV Public School, NIT campus 4-1 in a junior boys league match at the same venue with Aman Kumar scoring in the seventh and 50th minutes while teammates Sharad and Koushik scored in the 10th and 28th minutes respectively. The consolation goal for DAV came through Ayush Anand in the 14th minute.
In another junior boys league game, Jusco School (South Park) trounced Gyandeep High School 5-0 at the Tinplate Sports Complex. Rahul Ojha (2nd, 14th mins) and Shoaib Khan (24th, 25th mins) scored two goals each while Yash Bhargav booted in another in the 11th minute. Sahil Lohar was declared player of the match.
