Rajendra Vidyalaya Jamshedpur celebrates Dr Rajendra Prasad’s 144th birth anniversary

Jamshedpur, Dec 4 : Rajendra Vidyalaya, a unit of the Bihar Association, commemorated the 144th birth anniversary of Dr Rajendra Prasad with a deeply inspiring programme on December 4, Thursday.

Marking the occasion, the school organised an enlightening talk in the auditorium, delivered by none other than Dr Sujata Mitra, the great-granddaughter of India’s first President.

Dr Sujata Mitra, former Head of the Department of Nuclear Medicine at Tata Main Hospital, was warmly welcomed by the dignitaries of the Bihar Association and the school administration.

Among those present were the General Secretary C.P.N. Singh, Amresh Sinha—School Secretary, Rajendra Vidyalaya, Sakchi, and Joint Secretary of the Bihar Association—Principal Anita Tiwari, Vice Principal Kiran Sinha and Junior In-charge D. Vani.

Taking the audience on a journey through the remarkable life of Dr Rajendra Prasad, she highlighted his unwavering values, humility, and commitment to the nation.

She emphasised that despite holding the highest office in the country, Dr Prasad remained grounded in culture and simplicity—traits that today’s students must aspire to embody.

She spoke about his profound love for education, his sacrifices during the freedom movement, and his dedication to public service, describing his life as a beacon of integrity and patriotism.

The interactive session proved highly enriching for the students, offering them a rare opportunity to learn firsthand about the life and principles of one of India’s tallest leaders.

The programme concluded with a renewed sense of inspiration among the young audience, reminding them of the timeless legacy of Dr Rajendra Prasad and the values he stood for.
