Rajeev Ranjan elected Chairman of Lions District Service Foundation�

Jamshedpur, Sept 14: Rajeev Ranjan, Immediate Past District Governor of Lions Clubs International District 322 A has been nominated as the new Chairman of the prestigious District Service Foundation having 300 plus Lion members as its Life members.�

He was nominated Chairman in the Annual General Body meeting of the District Service Foundation held at Ranchi. He will be taking over from Sushma Trivedi, Past District Governor. Generally the post of Chairperson is given to Immediate Past District Governor.�

From Jamshedpur Kanchan Singh, District Governor, Rajnish Kumar, First Vice District Governor, Sudipto Mukherjee, Nalini Mukherjee, both Past District Governors �and Ashish Agarwal from Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar have been inducted into the 15 members Board of Directors of the District Service Foundation which serves for a term of one year.�

The principal aim of the District Service Foundation is to promote, undertake, carry out, assist and provide financial support to important service activities for the welfare of the community, It also helps Lions Clubs to undertake permanent projects like set up school, artificial limb fitting center, eye hospital, general hospital, vocational training, community hall, art center which can benefit community at large. It also helps promote Lions Clubs to conserve natural resources, rural, youth women development, educational activities.�
