Rajdoha village of Domjuri yet to get a pond

Jadugora: The residents of Rajdoha under Domjuri panchayat are deprived of water for the last two years, thanks to red-tapism that has delayed construction of a pond in the village. The pond was proposed to be built long back.

But the proposal could not be completed despite getting approval of the state government authorities concerned.
Former Mukhiya of the village Anita alleged that the government authorities showed no interest in implementing the pond construction project notwithstanding her hard work to bring the issue in their knowledge.

I have been running from pillar to post to get the pond constructed in our village for the last two years. But the pond is yet to be built, she said.

The pond project was estimated to cost Rs 10 lakh. The then circle officer of Potka had also carried out a physical verification of the land in the year 2013.

The project estimate was fixed on 25th July 2015, Murmu said.

Murmu said the project file was sent to the Integrated SC ST Cooperative Development Corporation two years back. But till date, no action has been taken in this regard, she said.
