Ranchi, March 31: Rajbala Verma on Thursday took charge as the chief secretary of Jharkhand from the outgoing chief secretary Rajiv Gauba.
Before this, Verma was the principal secretary in Road Construction Department. She said that her priority is to ensure do all-round development of the state and speed up the government’s agenda of development.
Chief secretary Rajbala Verma said that with the assistance of departmental secretaries, she will continue the development agenda of the government, which Gauba has done so nicely and effectively to bring the state on track of development.
She said that the Road Construction Department is making roads fast. According to Verma, the challenges will be outwitted as per the rule with the help of departmental coordination and positivity.
Sharing his experience in Jharkhand, the outgoing chief secretary Rajiv Gauba said that his tenure as the Jharkhand CS was very good and he received the help of departmental secretaries/ principal secretaries and departmental officers.
He said that the experience in Jharkhand will help him dispose his duty at the center.
Development commissioner Amit Khare, principal secretary, IPRD, Sanjay Kumar, principal secretaries Arun Kr. Singh, A. K. Singh and other departmental officers were present on this occasion.
