Ranchi, Feb 5: The garden inside the Raj Bhawan in Ranchi opened on Thursday for the public. On the first day only the school children were allowed to visit the garden.
As per the directive of the Governor Dr. Syed Ahmad, the garden, full of seasonal flowers including rose, will remain open for the common public between 10 A.M. and 3.30 P.M every day.
The concerned people can enter into the garden from the Raj Bhawan’s Gate Number 2, located in front of the Machli Ghar.
The sprawling garden of the governor’s official residence is drawing flower lovers in droves. People can relish the visual delights of around 70 kinds of flowers and their countless varieties.
These apart, the well-manicured greens, new pathways, fountains, benches and lights ensure that Jharkhand’s Raj Bhavan grounds could hold their own anywhere.
Raj Bhavan boasts gardens named after famous personalities such as emperors Ashoka and Akbar, Gautama Buddha, Jawaharlal Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, among others.
