Railway to appoint retirees below 62

Jamshedpur : Railway department has issued a notification ordering appointment of retired railway employees. The order regarding appointment of retirees has been sent to all zonal offices. As per the notification, the retirees may be appointed on contract basis up to an age of 62 years only. No additional benefit would be given to the retirees. The order has been issued by the safety department. The interested retired railway employees will have to furnish medical fitness certificate. The decision has been taken after a rise in train accidents. The department wants to avail the services of experienced retirees in a bid to prevent road accidents.
