BJP president promises to scrap Article 370 of the Constitution

Jamshedpur, May 8 : Taking a jibe at Rahul Gandhi, the BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday said the Congress president goes on vacations as soon as the temperature starts soaring during summer. He claimed thatthe Prime Minister Narendra Modi has not taken a leave during last 20 years. Moreover, PM works for 18 hours out of 24 hours a day.

Addressing a rally here at Agrico Ground, Shah said: �On one hand, you have Modi, who did not take a single leave in 20 years. On the other, you have Rahul Gandhi, who goes on long vacations to places, leaving his mother worried about his whereabouts.�

He further added: � This is my 296^th Parliamentary constituency that I am addressing though the food and culture changes but the chants of Modi-Modi remains the same. It is not merely a slogan but it is only an election slogan but blessings of over 100 crore people of the country�.

He claimed that the Congress could not do in 55 years what the Modi-led government did for the welfare of the poor in five years. He said that there can be no comparison between Congress and Modi led Government. 

Asserting that the BJP will be re-elected to power in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, BJP chief said that people should vote for the national security of the country.

He said that Article 370 of the Constitution would be removed if Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to power after the Lok Sabha elections. Article 370 grants autonomous status to Jammu and Kashmir and limits the Parliament’s power to make laws concerning the state.

Shah targeted the Congress for raising doubts on airstrikes. He said that after 70 years the nation has got a Prime Minister who thinks about the country, not any family. “After our surgical strike, everywhere there was a celebratory atmosphere but there was widespread unrest in Pakistan and in the Congress camp.”

Addressing the gathering Shah said that people must not only vote for development works done by BJP candidate BidyutBaranMahto in Jamshedpur but vote for him because Narendra Modi made the country’s border secure. The Prime Minister has taken effective steps to secure the borders of the country.
