Targets Das for failing in providing land ownership rights to 86 slums
Jamshedpur, May 8: Former Union minister and senior Congress leader Subodh Kant Sahay on Wednesday alleged that Raghubar Das has failed as a Chief Minister and he has been fooling the innocent people of the State.
Addressing a press meet at a city hotel, Sahay, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from Ranchi parliamentary seat, said that people will teach a lesson to the BJP rule in the state.
It is really surprising that though Das has been an MLA 25 years, and was deputy chief minister and urban development minister for five years and is CM for nearly five years nowbut he has done nothing for the welfare of the people. Despite claims not a single investment has come. BJP has ruled Jharkhand the most but not a KW of electricity has been produced in Jharkhand. He is just fooling people, Sahay said.
He also targeted the Government over deteriorating health scenario in the state. He gave examples of alluding to the pathetic condition of MGM Medical Hospital in Jamshedpur, RIMS and sadar units.
The MGM Hospital is reeling under lack of facilities. So is the case with RIMS and sadar hospitals in the state, the Congress leader said, adding there were health structures in blocks but running without doctors.
He also targeted Das for failing in providing land ownership rights to the people of 86 slums in the steel city. It was the Chief Minister did not allow land lease to these slums he alleged.
Sahay alleged that Das has failed on every front and during his tenure he has made only announcements. He claimed that the Raghubar -led government in the state had made several announcements at the time of elections but miserably failed to deliver on all fronts in its five-year-rule.
