Lashes out at JVM
Jamshedpur: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Raghuwar Das has asked State Government of Jharkhand to define domicile policy to enable local people get grade III and IV government jobs.
He alleged that the JMM and other regional parties, constituents of the ruling coalition, did not want a domicile policy because they were in favour of keeping the issue alive for their vote bank politics,” Das alleged and reiterated the BJP’s stand favouring a policy that enables local people get government jobs in grade III and IV.
Das warned Soren to end the domicile controversy, which began in 2002-03 and had “claimed the chair of former chief minister Babulal Marandi”.
“The previous Arjun Munda government had set up a committee headed by the then deputy chief minister Sudesh Mahto to define the domicile policy. Sudesh Mahto assured the assembly that he would come up with the report within 15 days then,” Das told a press conference here.
The present Chief Minister Hemant Soren had been another deputy chief minister in the Munda government and was one of the members in that committee, Das said.
Though the Government has emphasised on maintaining secular and progressive values in its programme but I have little faith on the promises made.
The very foundation of the Government is based on the mistrust and people do not expect much from the ruling parties, noted Das. He added that the Government has been formed for mutual benefits and has nothing to do with the welfare of the state.
He also alleged that the government by Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and Congress was based on manipulations and money power and such a government was formed for personal gains and accomplish hidden agendas.
Das also came down heavily upon Jharkhand Vikas Morcha chief Babulal Marandi for diving the society. He makes claim of morality and his own party was second fiddle to Congress which was responsible for unbridled corruption and uncontrolled price rise in the country, noted the legislature from Jamshedpur East.
Latter he said that the Congress Party is responsible for favouring corruption and giving rise poverty in the State.
Just for the sake of rigging funds and resources of the State, Congress leaders conspired to topple BJP Government.
